PORTLAND, Ore. — New art at Providence Park honors a Timbers’ legend.

A mural of Clyde Best was unveiled Friday on the stadium concourse.

Narrator: Tony D. Head

Tony D. Head is an award nominated actor who has been featured in the critically acclaimed off Broadway production of “Hounds of War” at the Abingdon theatre. Tony has appeared in many primetime series including the HBO hit series THE WIRE, and has also appeared in HBO’s THE CORNER , THE DEUCE ,VEEP, LAW and ORDER SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT, FBI’s MOST WANTED, FX’s AMERICAN SPORTS STORY and had a recurring role in the STARZ Mini series THREE WOMEN starring Shailene Woodley, Blair Underwood and Dewanda Wise. In 2020 Head wrote produced and starred in The CASE which has won over 50 awards worldwide and is being developed for television.

He currently can be seen as a HENRY in the hit Tyler Perry show ZATIMA on BET+.

Head has appeared and been featured in films including JOKER starring Joaquin Phoenix, LAZY SUSAN, with Sean Hayes and Matthew Broderick, MAYA AND HER LOVER, A NEW YORK CHRISTMAS WEDDING and THEY TURNED US INTO KILLERS.

Head is the on-camera narrator of new Documentary film, “Transforming the Beautiful Game, The Clyde Best Story”. He is featured on location in Bermuda, London, Portland, Tampa, and Boston during the film.  Tony lives in Manhattan NY.

Curator of Transforming the Beautiful Game Cultural Exhibit: Jasmine Lee

Jasmine Lee is a Bermudian artist, curator, and arts advocate who believes in the power of art, and of exhibitions, to enrich, enlighten, and challenge communities. Jasmine is dedicated to empowering underrepresented artists, ensuring they are seen and understood through their own perspectives. Her curatorial work aims to broaden the scope, and definition, of contemporary art and artists, particularly in Bermuda and the wider Caribbean region.

Currently, she is one of the 2024-25 Curatorial Fellows with New Curators in London, UK, on secondment from her role as Museum & Gallery Exhibitions Officer at Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art.

Director of North American Partnerships: Peter Hamelin
Hamelin is a passionate event creator, producer, marketer, and community builder with over 25 years of experience creating memorable experiences that bring people together. His journey began with a deep love for organizing events that connect diverse communities, grow businesses and spark meaningful interactions. Hamelin is known for cultivating relationships, creating value and producing results for national, regional and local acts from large-scale music and film festivals to intimate business and community gatherings, he has dedicated his career to crafting events that grow business, inspire joy, foster unity, and encourage collaboration.
UK Partnerships Director: Sacha Kemp
Sacha Kemp is a powerhouse in global sports communications, with over two decades of experience shaping the narratives of the world’s most iconic athletes, events, and brands. A master strategist and purposeful storyteller, Sacha has delivered award-winning campaigns while safeguarding reputations and navigating high-stakes moments. She is a senior global communications strategist delivering award-winning campaigns for world-leading sports brands, athletes, and events. From launching BT Sport and leading adidas’ London 2012 Olympic Games and for global sporting icons like David Beckham, Lewis Hamilton and Andy Murray, Sacha blends creative storytelling with purpose-driven strategy. She played a pivotal role in Sir Ben Ainslie’s inaugural America’s Cup team in Bermuda in 2017 and most recently helped launch and scale SailGP as Global Communications Director.
Bermuda Partnership Director: Schereene Outerbridge
As the principal at Groundwork Limited, Schereene Outerbridge has been delivering marketing, communications, branding, and events for almost two decades. Originally hailing from Toronto, Canada, Schereene found her way to Bermuda in 2008 with a couple of suitcases and a determination to bring her creative advertising skills to the island. 17 years since her relocation, her resume has grown to include a wide range of industries stemming from advertising agencies to telecommunications, and then moved on to international sports properties. The combination of her extensive experience allows her to apply creative problem solving, relationship building and management, and project management skills to the Clyde Best Story. As a former amateur footballer, her love of the beautiful game naturally lends itself to her passion for working on the project.

Dan Jarman is a post-production specialist based in the UK, but working globally on various major and minor television, film and corporate productions. His work is concentrated in the areas of broadcast (obs doc, ent/chat shows and sport), advertising, branded content and music videos, and over my career I have edited film festival winning short films and Grierson award-winning documentaries. As well as being a creative editor, designer and all-round storyteller, Jarman has a wealth of experience in post-production management on a local and global scale. This allows him to offer a level of technical and practical knowledge that extends beyond the creative and into all areas of media production, including workflow, crewing and operational leadership.

Harry brings over 30 years of expertise in building brand partnerships and corporate opportunities in North America, Europe and around the world. His communications and performance-based results has created a history of winning business ventures in multiple industries from Real Estate, Consulting, Business & Professional Services to Sport as well as Travel and Tourism. De Haas has been on the forefront of film, television and streaming content for the last three decades providing commercial sponsorship opportunities for the largest global brands to national and regional companies targeting specific audiences and consumer.
Director/Segment Editor / Graphics & Animation: Felix Obas
Since a young age in Haiti, Felix has been enamored with the art of storytelling. Whether it was writing stories, acting at his home in front of his family, or pretending to film skits with his friends, he dove in.

This led him to Modeling/Acting and video production after he got settled in Florida after moving from Haiti. Felix fell in love with cinematography and its unique ability to tell stories through a visual language that transcends all language barriers. Obas, specializes in graphics, animation and visual art. He brings his life experience to his filming, editing, animation create insightful and emotional the storytelling

When not creating, you’ll either find Felix at the gym, playing or watching a rugby match or at home with his wife and three children.

Director of Cinematography: Tom Grimmson
After graduating film school from UCLA, Grissom embarked on a world-wide journey of making action sports films. First with the legendary Warren Miller Entertainment Company in which he captured classic footage of the top extreme skiers of the 1980’s 90’s in places like Turkey, Alaska, Canada and beyond. Known for his skiing skills, he carried the POV camera down the hardest downhill runs at Olympics and World Championships for CBS.

In the mid 1990’s major brands came calling for his talents from Jeep, Adidas, Nike and others for their television commercials and brands. Grissom has been on the highest peaks and inside boardrooms with his signature attention to detail and flare for capturing the moment and emotions of athletes, brands and corporate executives.

Narrative Consultant – Bermuda: Dr. Sajni Tolaram, BA, MA, DLitt.

Dr. Sajni Tolaram, Professor, English & Film Studies, at Bermuda College, teaches courses in English Language and Literature & Film Studies. She works in Rhetorical Writing and Creative Writing, and specializes in a range of Literature courses including Medieval, Shakespeare, and literary survey in British and American Literature within socio-historical contexts. In Film Studies, she works with narrative, documentary, and experimental modes. The concentration is in essential cinema and genre studies within the formative aspects of film as an art, as a science, and as a global enterprise. She serves within a range of arts entities.

Consulting Producer: Julie Anderson

Julie Anderson is an award winning non-fiction producer, director, writer and development executive. She is acclaimed for her inspirational insight and storytelling which has ignited programs and documentaries ranging in topics from race relations, education, social issues and sports.

She earned an Academy Award nomination for the documentary God Is The Bigger Elvis, which she produced for HBO Documentary Films. As Director of Documentary Development for HBO her projects included the series America Undercover and the Academy Award winning documentary Big Mama.

A well known sports producer, she developed ESPN’s Emmy award winning magazine shows OUTSIDE THE LINES and E:60. Anderson also co-created the award winning teen educational series Sportsfigures for HBO, which was recognized with several Clarion Awards for Best Children’s Programming, and numerous Parents Choice Awards as well as a regional EMMY Award.

Most recently, as the Executive Producer of Documentary Development at PBS, she executive produced the Emmy, Peabody and Dupont Journalism award winning series The African Americans, Many Rivers to Cross with Henry Louis Gates, as well as Gates’ series Finding Your Roots.

Anderson’s work has regularly appeared on ESPN, HBO Sports, HBO Documentary Films, PBS, CNN, CBS

Eldon H. Trimingham III

Mr. Eldon Trimingham is an esteemed classical painter, of the Romantic Period, whose commissioned works are at Buckingham Palace, the Smithsonian, other museums, and in private collections, internationally. Primarily specializing in historical marine paintings and in landscape paintings, he also paints portraits and has also produced paintings for the Blue Angels and Americas Cup. He is also an accomplished sailor, a Championship level croquet player, an Off-Shore World Champion powerboat racer and team owner—accomplishments, of which, are notable because he was born with cerebral palsy. He has also raised funds for a range of charities—also focusing on the needs of children with disabilities.

Gherdai Hassell

Gherdai Hassell is a Bermudian born, China trained, multidisciplinary contemporary artist, writer and storyteller, based in Manchester, UK. Her work investigates memory and nostalgia through which, She explores mixed media collage and painting as a means to construct and deconstruct identity. Moving and curating materials through concepts of representation, perception, identity creation, and globalization. The thread of influence that runs through this work is the impact of histories, tales of transformation passed down through family lineages. The figure plays a central role in many of her works, simultaneously existing within realms of past, present, and future. The work suggests that identity should be self-determined and understood, and contextualized through connection with others. Her multimedia work reimagines relationships with the body as avatar, social space and the invisible world.

Associate Producer: MoZiah Selassiene

MoZiah Fire Selassie is a university student studying an MSc in International Sports Management at the University Campus of Football Business. He lives in Nottingham, UK, working as a Sports Coach at Support Through Sport, an organization which aims to tackle negative influences such as knife crime and abuse that young people face through a range of sports sessions, mentoring and youth development projects. In his spare time, he plays football and represented the Bermuda National Team in both football and tennis. He also played at a semi-professional level in Nottingham and Doncaster and was on trial at professional clubs throughout England. His previous experience includes working with organisations such as the Bermuda Football Association, Salford City F.C. and Nottingham Forest F.C. in football event operations.

Line Producer – Bermuda: Dr. Dana Selassie

Dana Selassie, PhD, has extensive training as a media specialist, broadcaster, photographer and filmmaker. Dana has served as a Media & Television Lecturer at Bermuda College, the DeMontfort University, and the University of Nottingham. Dr. Selassie has presented research papers on race, media, and identity at Oxford, University of Nottingham, University of Warwick, and the University of Glasgow. Her academic and artistic works center around and promote Bermudian culture and identity. Her passion for documentary filmmaking and capturing real stories remains evident in the community-focused pieces she chooses to work on, such as in her most recent short film, ‘Broadcasting Black,’ featuring some of Bermuda’s most iconic broadcasters from the 1950s and 60s. Dana is also the founder and Executive Director of the upcoming Bermuda Black Film Weekend.

Line Producer – USA: Joe Farr

Joe C. Farr III started Trey Mojo Productions in 2005. He has been researching and interviewing subjects for a book on Coach Willie Jeffries – the first African American head football coach in NCAA Division-IA – while also editing video versions of the comedy podcast There It Is. At Tennis Channel, he aggregated, managed, and scheduled tennis content; developed programs in various genres; and led business development initiatives. While at ESPN, he was responsible for programming content in college football, college basketball, NCAA Championships, Track & Field, and Black History Month (to name a few). Under the BHM umbrella, he was the executive producer on Seasons of Change: The African American Athlete (2002 and 2003), Relatively Speaking: George Foreman, and Relatively Speaking: Joe Dumars. The 2002 installment of Seasons of Change won the NAMIC Vision Award for Best News/Informational Program. He has a BA from Duke University, where he was a four-year team manager for Mike Krzyzewski’s men’s basketball team (which included a trip to the Elite 8), and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Producer: H. Nelson Tracey
H. Nelson Tracey is a producer, director, and editor. His passion lies in crafting well-researched and engaging true stories that are not yet known to general audiences, and using the power of cinema for positive social change. He was an Associate Producer and Assistant Editor on Ski Bum: The Warren Miller Story, which won the 2019 Slamdance Audience Award for Breakout Feature. He directed and produced Picture Jasper, a festival award winning short documentary, as well as 4 narrative short films, and a one-hour travel documentary TV pilot Rock Men. His work has appeared on Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, and premiered at prominent film festivals worldwide, including Tribeca, HotDocs, and Sheffield. After meeting Dan Egan through shared involvement on Ski Bum, they have collaborated on 3 different web series in 2020 during the pandemic: Ski Talk With Dan Egan for SkiTalk.com, Legends Lounge for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame, and Race Week for the New York Yacht Club. As a director/producer team, the Clyde Best biography is their first feature documentary.
Line Producer - Bermuda: Milton Raposo
Milton Raposo is the lead producer for Method Media Bermuda, which was started in 2011. Raposo has produced video content for a myriad of Bermudian subjects and events, from the island’s new hospital redevelopment, the last three general election year campaigns, tourism campaigns, the oceanic Exclusive Economic Zone, international sports and much more. Raposo, has also co-founded the environmental charity Greenrock in 2005 and served as its VP for two years and then sat on the first management committee of the Bermuda Environmental and Sustainability Taskforce (BEST). Raposo a former vice chair of both the Bermuda Arts Council and The Chewstick Foundation and former Bermuda Society of Arts board member. He is currently a member of the Heritage Advisory Council for the Bermuda Government since 2005 and treasurer of the Neil Burnie Foundation. As of January 2020, Raposo is the Media Arts adjunct lecturer at the Bermuda College.
Soccer Consultant: Charles Desmond Davies
Charlie Davies is an American soccer player. He set several soccer records at his high school, Brooks School, before appearing for the Boston College Eagles and the Westchester Flames in college. Davies signed his first professional contract with Swedish Allsvenskan club Hammarby IF in December 2006 before joining Sochaux in July 2009. Davies has been capped seventeen times for the United States national team, with four international goals. He is a cancer survivor and starting with the 2020 MLS season, Davies is the main color commentator for the New England Revolution, sharing his duties with Paul Mariner. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, Davies’ father is an immigrant from the Gambia, and growing up Clyde Best was an inspiration figure for the young athlete. He is thrilled to be collaborating on bringing Best’s story to the screen.
Director: Dan Egan

Dan Egan is a master storyteller. Mentored by godfather of action sports documentaries Warren Miller in narration, he has fine tuned his craft through the years through live presentations, articles, hosting national television and radio shows as well as motivational speaking. As film producer he was awarded a Telly Award and he is a 3-time New England Emmy award nominee for his hour-long TV series Dan Egan’s Wild World of Winter. Egan has shot documentary television shows in some of the remote regions of the world including the Canadian Arctic, South America, Russia, and Argentina. He is a three-time NASJA Harold Hirsch award winner for excellence in journalism, authored three books, and has covered three Olympics as a contributor to the Boston Globe.

Egan is best known as a world-renowned extreme skier. He appeared in 12 Warren Miller ski films from 1985-1995 with his brother John. He was inducted into the US Skiing & Snowboarding Hall of Fame in 2016. His skiing exploits played a critical role in moving the word “extreme” from the mountains to Madison Fifth Avenue, creating the foundation for today’s YouTube and GoPro culture.

Prior to his skiing career, Egan was a varsity soccer athlete at Babson college, he attended Bridgton Academy where he played as a teammate to Gerry Best, the nephew of Clyde Best. Through this experience, Egan developed a decades-long rapport with Clyde Best, and now is in a unique position to take Best’s incredible life story and depict it cinematically.
